Children thrive when given a challenge and the opportunity to explore and experience learning through doing. Students gain confidence in their knowledge when they try new things, test out ideas and apply different approaches. When children learn through memorable experiences, they acquire a deeper understanding, creating a scaffolding on which future learning can be built.
The Cove School encourages students to engage in experiential learning activities such as project based learning, field studies, integrated technology, small group instruction, language development and hands-on activities like The Cove Garden. In addition, The Cove utilizes the Common Core Curriculum and is committed to providing an integrated curriculum that supports students as they explore their environment and construct meaning in their world.
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember, Involve me and I will learn.” - Benjamin Franklin.
